The McMaster Institute for Research on Aging (MIRA) is pleased to announce the recipients of new trainee funding, supporting interdisciplinary projects that that seeks to involve and benefit older adults and their communities.
The awards span three McMaster Faculties, covering topics including frailty, neurodegeneration and prediction of vertebral fracture risk. Aiming to develop the capacity of future leaders in aging research and generate evidence that contributes to the well-being of older adults, funds for these awards are provided to Master’s and PhD trainees by the Labarge Centre for Mobility in Aging and Smart Mobility for the Aging Population (sMAP).
MIRA also co-funded a fellowship with the EPIC-AT Health Research Training Platform, a national training platform preparing graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and early career researchers to be future leaders in digital health solutions for older adults with complex health needs.
Congratulations to all recipients!
