Overview

Maura Marcucci is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact (HEI), and Medicine, at McMaster University. She is an attending physician in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Division of Perioperative Care. She is a Scientist at the Population Health Research Institute (PHRI), working with the Anesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine, and Surgical Research Group. Since the beginning of her research career she has been involved in national and international collaborations on aging-related topics, including frailty. Her current research is on cardiovascular and functional outcomes of older patients undergoing noncardiac surgery, with a main focus on perioperative frailty and neurocognitive disorders.
