Summary

Designed for inclusivity and impact, SAGE (Seniors’ Awareness and Global Events) empowers older adults to stay informed, discuss current events, and engage directly with their communities and elected representatives. Using the iMatr platform, simple conversations become powerful tools for connection, inclusion, and civic action. SAGE isn’t just about accessing news—it’s about having a voice, staying involved, and shaping the world around you.
McMaster University will assess how the SAGE program and iMatr impact older adults. Participation is expected to enhance wellbeing, tech proficiency, civic engagement, and enable older adults’ advocacy. By reducing isolation and fostering inclusion, SAGE empowers older adults to stay active in society.
