Anthea Christoforou
Science
Overview
Dr Christoforou’s research focuses on nutrition, chronic disease, and health equity, examining how dietary patterns and food policy influence health outcomes across the life course, with particular attention to aging-related transitions such as fertility, menopause, frailty, and chronic disease. Using large population-based datasets, Dr Christoforou explores how food processing, supplementation, and nutrition labeling impact nutrient adequacy and health trajectories in midlife and older adulthood and aims to inform public health strategies that promote healthy aging while reducing inequities.
