Sayem Borhan
Overview
Sayem Borhan is an Assistant Professor and biostatistician/data scientist with extensive experience in health research methods, biostatistics, and data science. He is involved in methodological and epidemiologic research in various areas, including biostatistics, clinical trials, data science, artificial intelligence, precision medicine, bone health, and aging. Notably, he has received the Young Investigator Award from the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) for his research on the impact of fragility fractures on the health-related quality of life of older people. The findings of this study have been featured in several medical news outlets, including Medscape, PracticeUpdate, and MedicalXpress. More recently, he has been investigating the aging process by adopting a multi-omics approach and machine learning approach to predict the risk of fragility fractures. His research works have been supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and Osteoporosis Canada.
