Overview

Judith West-Mays is a Full Professor in the Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine at McMaster University. Her expertise is in molecular biology and genetics of vision. Her research focuses on diseases of the eye associated with aging, including cataracts, glaucoma and corneal disorders. Dr. West-Mays also has a collaboration with the McMaster C 20/20 team in developing approaches for therapeutic gene transfer in the treatment of eye disease. Alongside her research, Dr. West-Mays actively participates in teaching undergraduate, graduate and medical students and is currently the Assistant Dean of the Medical Sciences Graduate Program at McMaster
