Overview

Janet Pritchard is an Assistant Professor in the School of Interdisciplinary Science. Her doctoral research explored the interaction between type 2 diabetes and osteoporosis using MRI and microscopy. Her postdoctoral work involved creating clinical decision support systems for family physicians that reflect guidelines for osteoporosis care and studying frailty in an outpatient setting at HHS.

She is a teaching faculty member with a small research program with a focus on nutrition and aging, and intergenerational, experiential learning opportunities for students in the Life Sciences Program. Janet has published academic articles in the areas of osteoporosis and diabetes, aging and frailty, and is a CIHR-funded scholar.
