Overview

Janie Wilson is a professor in the Department of Surgery at McMaster University. She joined McMaster in 2018 after spending ten years as a faculty member in the School of Biomedial Engineering at Dalhousie University. Her extensive research interests include orthopaedic biomechanics, musculoskeletal biomechanics, gait analysis, osteoarthritis, orthopaedic surgery, implants and surgery outcomes. At McMaster, Janie will be continuing her work on orthopaedic surgical optimization as she develops her new research program. Additionally, she is interested in studying how musculoskeletal function is impacted by factors such as aging, sex, and body mass.
