Overview
Maryam Ghasemaghaei is an Associate Professor of Information Systems at DeGroote School of Business (DSB) at McMaster University. She has been named as a 2022 University Scholar which recognizes the achievements of researchers who have distinguished themselves as exceptional scholars in research, teaching and service. She also received the 2023 Research Excellence Award at DSB which is given to the person who has consistently demonstrated excellence in research endeavours. Her research interests relate to the use of data analytics in organizations. Her works have appeared in top research outlets such as MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of Strategic Information Systems, Information Systems Journal, European Journal of Information Systems, Information & Management, Decision Support Systems, Journal of Business Research, and Communications of the Association for Information Systems. Maryam has served on the editorial boards of various journals and conferences in information systems. She is currently serving on the editorial board of Decision Support Systems and Internet Research, as well as an associate editor in ICIS and as a mini-track cochair in AMCIS.
