Overview

Margaret Denton is Professor Emeritus in the Departments of Health, Aging, and Society and Sociology and the former Director of the McMaster Centre for Geriatric Studies. Margaret has examined issues related to the factors that affect community care, age inequality, retirement planning, and income, health and social services. Margaret’s research focus explores long term care facilities, income inequality, and age and gender inequality. As a Director for the Hamilton Council on Aging, Margaret Denton is leading initiatives to make Hamilton an age-friendly city.
