Overview

Diana Sherifali is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing. and the inaugural holder of the Heather M. Arthur Population Health Research Institute/Hamilton Health Sciences Chair in Inter-Professional Health Research. Her research program aims to optimize the management of diabetes and quality of life for older adults and people with diabetes across their lifespan. Diana aims to identify patient, provider and health system factors that impede or facilitate patient self-care; testing novel approaches to optimize patients’ participation in their own diabetes care; and identifying and implementing innovative approaches to knowledge synthesis and knowledge dissemination related to self-care and other aspects of diabetes.
