Research Centres
MIRA's research centres facilitate and support advancements in aging research. MIRA's first focused centre, the Labarge Centre for Mobility in Aging (LCMA), supports research on the broad topic of mobility in aging.
Launched in 2021, the MIRA | Dixon Hall Centre is a unique partnership that brings together MIRA's excellence in aging research and Dixon Hall's expertise, as a multi-service community agency, in providing comprehensive community-based client care.
The McMaster Collaborative for Health and Aging, run by the McMaster School of Nursing’s Aging, Community and Health Research Unit (ACHRU) is a partner of MIRA. This coalition of researchers, trainees, older adults and caregivers are working together to improve the health and well-being of older Canadians by advancing patient-oriented health research on aging.
