Sarcopenia is a complex muscle health disease where nutrient intake plays a role in its development and progression. Older adults are the most at risk for sarcopenia and there is a great concern for the well-being of this population. Protein, vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acids are key players in contributing to muscle health and so this research study is aiming to create and validate a food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) to assess the dietary intake of these nutrients. The goal of this study is to potentially implement this tool in clinical settings to ensure nutrition is at the forefront of conversations regarding slips, trips and falls among older adults.
