Dr. Tang’s research investigates how aging affects the cartilage-bone interface in the knee joint, particularly in the context of Osteoarthritis (OA). Despite OA’s significant impact on over 500 million people worldwide, there’s a gap in understanding the micro- to nanoscale changes occurring at this interface with age. By exploring these alterations, Dr. Tang aims to uncover potential avenues for managing OA progression in older adults.
