Overview

Lyn Turkstra is a speech-language pathologist, Professor and Assistant Dean (Speech Language Pathology) in the School of Rehabilitation Science. Dr. Turkstra’s research focuses on developing interventions to support full participation in everyday life for adults with acquired neurological communication disorders. She is interested in acquired cognitive and communication disorders in adults, including adults with dementia. Her aim is to identify and implement best practices in assessment of and intervention for adults with communication challenges.
