Richard Sztramko and Anthony Levinson have received a grant from the Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation, led by Baycrest Health Sciences, supporting their dementia and caregivers research.
The grant through the Researcher-Clinician Partnership Program is valued at $450,000.
The funds will support the iGeriCare Initiative, which uses multimedia e-learning to improve quality of life for family caregivers of people with dementia.
Sztramko is a member of MIRA and assistant professor in the Department of Medicine. Levinson is co-lead of the McMaster Optimal Aging Portal, director of the division of e-Learning Innovation for the Faculty of Health Sciences and an associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Neurosciences.
