The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) has awarded over $16 million to research teams across McMaster University’s Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS), as a result of recent funding announcements for Project Grants, as well as Planning and Dissemination Grants.
Funded projects across FHS seek to investigate a variety of important topics, from validifying how wearable technology can assess mobility in older adults, fighting diverse forms of cancer, to developing the latest food allergy clinical practice guidelines.
“Our researchers are driving the future of health science innovation,” says Jonathan Bramson, vice-dean of research for the Faculty of Health Sciences. “The depth and breadth of our expertise continues to fuel impactful discoveries, reinforcing McMaster’s global leadership in transformative research that improves lives worldwide.”
