Did you know that McMaster University is home to a suite of world-class nuclear research facilities — anchored by the McMaster Nuclear Reactor (MNR) — where students, staff and faculty advance research that is shaping a cleaner, healthier future for all? This research touches on all of our lives in unexpected ways, from when we get scans at the hospital or medical treatments to the energy in our houses in Ontario. Join Dr. Karin Stephenson and Dr. Mike Welland to learn more about the ways the nuclear research and innovations impacts our lives every day. They will share with you their knowledge on innovations in nuclear medicine, and the changing impact that nuclear energy may have in our future.

You will also have the opportunity to sign up to tour the McMaster Nuclear Reactor, which celebrated its 65th year in operation in 2024
