Bites & Insights: Supporting brain health and reducing dementia risk

Physical fitness plays an important role in supporting brain health over time. Drawing on current research in dementia risk and brain aging, this talk will explore how movement and daily habits shape cognitive well-being, and offer practical strategies to help make exercise a sustainable part of everyday life.

Anjali M. Bedi (she/her) is a second-year PhD student in the Department of Kinesiology at McMaster University and a member of the NeuroFit Lab. Her research examines how lifestyle, social and biological factors influence brain aging and dementia risk, with particular attention to lived experience. She is committed to making research on aging and brain health accessible to diverse communities.
