In recognition of the importance of vital work enhancing mobility and health equity among older adults in communities facing health inequities, we are pleased to congratulate the EMBOLDEN Study on award of two prestigious grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).

The EMBOLDEN Study—one of MIRA’s Major Programs of Research, research initiatives to understand large and complex issues in aging— focuses on co-designing community programs with older adults and their communities to enhance mobility and health equity. By partnering directly community and older adult stakeholders in design, the study aims to develop innovative solutions that address the unique challenges faced by older adults in neighborhoods with health disparities.
