Overview
McMaster University and MIRA support older adults to engage with research that promotes well-being and longevity. The McMaster Optimal Aging Portal is a one-stop resource for trustworthy and up-to-date information about aging topics that is written for a wide audience. The Portal features information on exercise, mental health, nutrition and over 75 other topics.
There are many community organizations offering programs to help older adults maintain health and social connections. A few from the Hamilton area are listed below.

The City of Hamilton offers a number of resources and programming options for older adults including recreation centre programming, seniors clubs, and community supports.
Hamilton Third Age Learning is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing opportunities within the City of Hamilton for lifelong learning by its retired and semi-retired citizens. It offers programs that allow participants to listen to and engage in discussions with a variety of well-informed speakers on subjects of interest.
