Christopher Patterson

Overview

Dr. Christopher Patterson is a physician specializing in geriatric medicine for over 40 years, gaining experience with the medical issues of older adults. Serving on the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care and each of the four Canadian Consensus Conferences on Dementia, he has conducted systematic evidence reviews leading to published clinical practice guidelines. Dr. Patterson has participated in pharmacological studies of Alzheimer’s disease and is currently involved in dementia studies with GERAS. Dr. Patterson is also a co-investigator with the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging and has served on the advisory board of the CIHR Institute of Aging. Currently, the Dementia Research Group mentors students and residents in a variety of projects including systematic scoping reviews, retrospective chart reviews, questionnaires and interviews.
