As a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic, telerehabilitation (i.e., clinical services using remote or virtual telecommunication strategies) has emerged as a method to engage older adults in rehabilitation. Physiotherapists (PTs) are rehabilitation experts who may lead these virtual programs. The role of PTs in Canada includes manual therapy techniques, exercise and PA prescription, and general health promotion. Further, PTs are effectively utilized throughout the world working with older adults across various settings.

With the plethora of new research and clinical programs using telerehabilitation, it is important to consider how they are being implemented and their effectiveness compared to traditional programs for this population. The purpose of this project is to explore, summarize, and evaluate the use of PT-led telerehabilitation programs for older adults living with chronic conditions on mobility outcomes.
