Overview

Karin Neufeld’s research centers on delirium, a condition that predominantly affects people of older age and is an associated with significant morbidity and mortality, including accelerated cognitive decline. Preventing delirium leads to improved survival and quality of life among older individuals. The focus of Neufeld’s research includes understanding the epidemiology, prevention, detection and treatment of delirium.
