Thirty McMaster research projects, four from members of the McMaster Institute for Research on Aging (MIRA), have received federal funding amounting to more than $3.6 million from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
MIRA members are:
- Jim Dunn, Health, Aging & Society, was awarded an Insight Grant, which supports excellence in research that addresses complex issues pertaining to individuals and societies.
- Catherine Connelly, Human Resources & Management, was awarded a Partnership Development Grant, which supports new or existing research partnerships.
- Aki-Juhani Kyröläinen, Linguistics & Language, and Evelyne Durocher, Rehabilitation Science, received Insight Development Grants, which support research in its initial stages, or the work of those who wish to explore new research questions, methods and approaches.
