Dante Duarte

Overview

Dante Duarte’s research interest relies on the neural mechanisms of treatment-response and testing non-invasive brain stimulation techniques to drive recovery in older adults with mood disorders and cognitive impairment (including early to late-stage dementia). Thus, improving functional abilities and quality of life of older adults. He has a particular interest to advance this field as a physician-scientist with neurostimulation and neurophysiologic training combined with experience in mood recovery and cognitive rehabilitation of the elderly.  Duarte’s ultimate career goal is to pioneer scientific investigation using brain stimulation targeting specific neural circuits related to cognition and mood as to individualize therapeutics and move toward the precision medicine approach.
