Bites & Insights is a community talk series offering practical and evidence-based strategies to support healthy, engaged living. Each session includes time for audience questions and discussion. Light refreshments are provided.
This talk will explore how our brain changes with age and what factors increase our risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. We will explore how exercise can improve overall brain health and protect against dementia. We will also explore different ways that nutrition can support a healthy brain as we age.
Join Dr. Jeremy Walsh from McMaster University’s Department of Kinesiology to learn how exercise and everyday habits can support brain and cognitive health as we age. Dr. Walsh’s research explores how these behaviours influence the brain, with the goal of developing practical, evidence-informed approaches to help maintain cognitive health and reduce the risk of neurological disease in mid-to-later life.
