Overview

Harriet MacMillan’s interests related to aging focus on understanding ways of reducing exposure to violence across the lifespan, including child maltreatment and intimate partner violence. She has also collaborated on research aimed at understanding prevention of abuse of older persons. MacMillan’s work has included surveys examining the risk and protective factors for family violence at different ages and developmental stages, and impairment associated with exposure to family violence.
