Understanding the older driver: Innovation meets opportunity.

As we grow older there are medical conditions that affect our ability to drive safely. In the year 2028, it is expected that there will be 6.5 million drivers aged 65 and older in Canada.  AUTO21 brings together researchers and graduate students from five universities (McMaster, Ottawa, Manitoba, McGill and Monash) with industrial partners GoPro and Persentech for the first study in the world to quantify driving performance with crashes across time using GPS and HD camera technology.
