Understanding the older driver: Innovation meets opportunity.
As we grow older there are medical conditions that
affect our ability to drive safely. In the year 2028, it is expected that there
will be 6.5 million drivers aged 65 and older in Canada. AUTO21 brings
together researchers and graduate students from five universities (McMaster,
Ottawa, Manitoba, McGill and Monash) with industrial partners GoPro and
Persentech for the first study in the world to quantify driving performance
with crashes across time using GPS and HD camera technology.
