The art of handling fluids on a very small scale –microfluidics – is capable of transforming many applications. Professor of Engineering, Dr. Ravi Selvaganapathy, has developed techniques that can reduce the time to diagnose tuberculosis from a month to about 2 hours – and can simultaneously determine which drug will be best to treat the infection.
